Renal venous thrombosis in children

Renal vein thrombosis (renal vein thrombosis) refers to thrombosis in the main and / or branches of the renal vein, leading to partial or complete obstruction of the renal vein, causing a series of pathological changes and clinical manifestations. Renal vein thrombosis can occur unilaterally or bilaterally, it can occur in the trunk, single branch or multiple branches, and it can also coexist with thrombosis of other organ blood vessels. Acute renal venous trunk thrombosis can be complicated by acute renal failure. The clinical manifestations of chronic renal venous thrombosis are not obvious. Due to sufficient time to form collateral circulation to improve renal venous return, most renal insufficiency is reversible. Previously, the disease was mostly diagnosed at necropsy. With the advancement of X-ray angiography and selective vascular catheterization, prenatal diagnosis has increased.
