Bacterial prostatitis
Bacterial prostatitis is an acute or non-acute infection of the prostate caused by one or several pathogenic bacteria. The pathogenic bacteria are Gram-negative aerobic bacteria, such as E. coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. According to the clinical manifestations of infection, it can be divided into: acute bacterial prostatitis and chronic bacterial prostatitis. Acute bacterial prostatitis can be transformed into chronic bacterial prostatitis if it is not treated in time. If the inflammation develops further, an abscess is called a prostate abscess.
