Spastic intestinal obstruction
Intestinal wall muscles due to spastic contractions that cause intestinal contents to run poorly are called spastic intestinal obstruction. Murphy (1896) first described the disease, which is extremely rare clinically, but it does exist. The disease is more common in neurotic women, mostly middle-aged.
