Pediatric platelet weakness

The Swiss doctor first reported the disease in 1918, so it was also called Glazmanns thrombasthenia (GT). This disease is a platelet aggregation dysfunction disease, and is autosomal recessive. It is characterized by normal platelet morphology and quantity, prolonged bleeding time, poor or non-contraction of blood clots, and defective aggregation function.
