Chin-like pyoderma

The disease is a hard chancre-like lesion on the face or genitals of a child or adult. In 1934, Hoffman first described the disease. In 1957, Frain-Bell reported three cases, and he thought that coagulase-positive Staphylococcus aureus might be the cause. But other bacteria such as atypical acid-fast bacilli, Escherichia coli or virus cannot be excluded.
