Abnormal dystocia in the soft canal
Abnormal dystocia of the soft birth canal refers to dystocia due to abnormalities of the soft birth canal. Such dystocia is far less common than abnormal dystocia of the bone birth canal, and is therefore easily overlooked, leading to missed diagnosis. The soft birth canal includes the lower uterus, cervix, vagina, and vulva. The lesions of the soft birth canal can cause dystocia, and other parts of the reproductive tract and surrounding lesions may also affect the soft birth canal and make delivery difficult, but the former is more common. Therefore, a vaginal examination should be performed routinely in early pregnancy to understand whether the reproductive tract and pelvic cavity are abnormal.
