Mixed salivary gland tumor

A mixed tumor of salivary gland is a benign tumor that occurs in the large and small salivary glands. It can occur at any age, with the most common being 30-50 years old. There was no significant difference between men and women. Because it occurs in the outer and mesodermal leaves, the tumor contains epithelial tissue, connective tissue, muscle tissue, and myxomatous tissue, so Minssen (1896) called it a mixed tumor, also known as pleomorphic adenoma. Mixed tumors are not absolutely benign. They are low-grade malignancies, also called borderline tumors.
