Hydroxyproline
Collagen is the main component of collagen fibers in connective tissue and contains the most hydroxyproline. Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body, accounting for about 1/3 of the body's total protein. Utilizing the characteristic that Hyp has the highest content of collagen, through the measurement of Hyp in blood and urine, we can understand the catabolism of collagen in the body, which can be used as an indicator of connective decomposition. At present, the clinical use of automatic amino acid analyzer is generally satisfactory.
