NK cell activity
Natural killer (NK) cells are a group of heterogeneous and multifunctional immune cells, which are natural toxic killer cells unrelated to specific immune responses. It regulates a variety of cells in the body, especially T and B lymphocytes. Its cytolytic effect is not limited by major tissue-compatible complexes. Natural killer cells not only have a strong elimination effect on cancer cells, but also on viruses, intracellular parasites, and aging mutant cells. NK cells do not require pre-immunization or sensitization for their killing effect. The killing effect is earlier than other effector cells, which is the body's first line of defense against tumors. NK cells play a role in the pathogenesis of antiviral and autoimmune diseases, and have important significance in antitumor and immune regulation. Therefore, the discovery of compounds that enhance the activity of NK cells is of great significance for immune regulation and anti-tumor.
