Right ventricular double exit
The meaning of the right ventricle double outlet is that both the aorta and the pulmonary artery originate from the right ventricle, or most of one aorta and the other aorta originate from the right ventricle, and the ventricular septal defect is the sole outlet of the left ventricle. Ventricular septal defect is usually larger than the diameter of the aorta. Only 10% of cases have a smaller ventricular septal defect than the aortic opening. About 60% of the ventricular septal defects are located below the aortic valve and 30% are located below the pulmonary valve. The position is in the middle part below the opening of the aorta and the pulmonary artery. In rare cases, the ventricular septal defect is located in the middle and lower part of the ventricular septum and far from the aortic opening.
