Periosteal chondroma

Periosteal chondroma is a type of chondroma that occurs on the surface of the bone, under the periosteum, where tendons and ligaments attach. It can be found in all age groups from children to adults. It is located in the backbone or metaphyseal region of long bones, and is more common in the proximal humerus.
