Foraminal compression test

Foraminal compression test: The patient's head is biased toward the affected side. The examiner's left palm is placed on top of the patient's head, and the fist of the right hand is tapped on the back of the left. There are root damages; for those with severe root pain, the examiner puts his hands on top of the head and presses between them, which can induce or exacerbate the symptoms. A positive compression test when the patient's head is in the neutral or posterior extension is called a positive Jackson indentation test.
