Bullae

Pulmonary bullae refer to emphysema alveoli with a diameter of more than 1 cm in the lung parenchyma, which usually occurs on the basis of emphysema, and usually secondary to inflammatory lesions of small bronchi, such as pneumonia, emphysema, and tuberculosis. Often coexist with emphysema. The mechanism of occurrence is similar to emphysema but is more severe.
