Pediatric acute toxic encephalopathy

Acute toxic encephalopathy is a common central nervous system disease in infants and young children. Its main clinical manifestation is the sudden emergence of central nervous system symptoms, such as fever, consciousness, in the course of diseases other than the primary disease of the central nervous system. Disorders, drowsiness or coma, convulsions, and pathological reflexes, but cerebrospinal fluid examinations are often not found except for increased pressure. Note the differentiation from acute encephalitis.
