Dural abscess
Divided into two kinds of epidural abscess and subdural abscess. An extradural abscess is an infection of the abscess between the dura mater and the temporal bone or between the sigmoid sinus and the sigmoid sinus bone plate. Subdural abscesses are caused by otitis media infections that invade the subdura mater, causing part of the arachnoid and pia mater to become necrotic and form abscesses. The disease is not easy to be localized, and it is easy to spread and die for diffuse meningitis, so it is relatively rare in clinical practice.
