Senile chorea

Senile chorea often occurs in elderly people over 60 years of age. Brain lesions are very similar to Huntington's disease. The tail nucleus and putamen are large and small nerve cells degenerate. The dance movements of this disease sometimes appear only in the tongue, face, and cheek muscle areas. In order to distinguish it from chronic progressive chorea, it currently tends to be classified as a separate disease unit.
