Pediatric Lymphocytic Interstitial Pneumonia

Lymphocytic interstitial pneumonia (LIP) is a chronic, progressive, interstitial pneumonia, which is often accompanied by AIDS. LIP and pulmonary lymphoid hyperplasia (PLH) can be seen in various immune disorders, such as autoimmune diseases, chronic graft-versus-host response after bone marrow transplantation, and lung manifestations in patients with AIDS, which is currently considered to be definitive for AIDS Disease (an AIDS-defining index disease).
