Hyperthyroidism with pregnancy
The thyroid gland is one of the most important endocrine organs in the human body. Thyroid hormones play an important role in the regulation of reproduction, growth and development and metabolism of various system organs. Hyperthyroidism is the most common endocrine disease, which is more common in female patients, with a male to female ratio of 1: 4 to 6. Among them, 20 to 40-year-old women of childbearing age are more common. Among endocrine diseases in pregnant women, thyroid disease is second only to diabetes. Data show that the incidence of hyperthyroidism with pregnancy is 0.5% to 2%. The pregnancy abortion rate for hyperthyroidism is as high as 26% and the preterm birth rate is 15%.
