Superficial soft palate ulcer
The soft palate is located in the posterior third of the palate. Its base is the striated muscle and the surface is also covered with mucosa. Soft palate cancer accounts for 13.5% of primary malignant tumors of the palate. Its etiology is similar to that of other oropharyngeal malignancies. Glandular epithelium is the most common pathological type, followed by squamous epithelium. Malignant melanoma occupies the third place and sarcomas are rare.
