Neutropenia
When the neutrophil (granulocyte) is less than 0.5 × 109 / L, it is called neutropenia. Neutral white (granulocyte) cells play an important role in the defense of the body to eliminate fading tissue cells and phagocytose and kill pathogenic microorganisms. A reduction in the number of neutrophils will significantly reduce the defense function of the body and cause infection, and severe cases can cause death. The clinical symptoms of neutropenia vary depending on the extent and cause of the decrease.
