Secondary tuberculosis
Secondary tuberculosis is type III tuberculosis, which includes two types of tuberculosis, invasive tuberculosis and chronic fibrous cavity tuberculosis in the 1978 five types of tuberculosis classification. After the first infection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (hereinafter referred to as Mycobacterium tuberculosis), the mycobacterium tuberculosis in latent lesions in the body reproduces, and the re-ignition of the lesion is the main cause of the disease (called endogenous recurrence). It can also be caused by infection with external Mycobacterium tuberculosis (called exogenous reinfection). This type can occur at any age after the primary infection and is more common in adults. It is the most common type of tuberculosis in adults.
