Unilateral kidney deficiency

Unilateral kidney deficiency, that is, unilateral kidney failure, also known as unilateral kidney, is more frequent than bilateral kidney deficiency. However, because there are no specific symptoms or signs that can indicate unilateral kidney deficiency, the incidence is uncertain. Patients are usually unintentionally found to be solitary kidneys during radiography. Prenatal ultrasound can identify polycystic kidney disease or renal dysplasia, thereby improving the detection rate of the disease.
