Acute left heart failure in the elderly

Acute left heart failure refers to a clinical syndrome caused by a significant decrease in myocardial contractility and / or a significant increase in heart load in a short period of time, resulting in a sharp decrease in cardiac output and a sharp rise in pulmonary circulation pressure. The clinical manifestations are acute pulmonary edema, severe dyspnea, cyanosis, coughing pink foam-like sputum, and a critical condition, which can cause cardiogenic shock, coma, and death.
