Replantation of severed fingers
The success of severed finger replantation depends on whether the blood vessels can be connected. In 1965, Kleinert applied a magnifying glass to connect the finger blood vessels and Buncke and other microsurgery techniques were used to successfully perform rabbit ear replantation and monkey thumb replantation animal experiments. In 1966, Chinese medical staff and Japanese scholar Komatsu (1968) and others successively reported that the replantation of the completely broken thumb was successful. At present, the success of pediatric severed finger replantation, unfinancial finger replantation, and ten finger severed replantation, indicates that microsurgery has reached a new height.
