Anastomotic radial periosteum

Since Finley (1978) reported successful anastomotic periosteal transplantation trials, it has gradually been used in clinical practice. Periosteal grafts based on nutritional blood vessels can be formed at all parts of the bone graft where anastomosis of blood vessels can be performed, such as the sacrum, ribs, fibula, etc. In addition, radial periosteal and tibial periosteal grafts have been reported. In general, anastomotic periosteal grafts are used for bone disjointness and bone defects, and pedicled or island periosteal flaps have also been reported to treat bone disjointed or old fractures, such as wrist and scaphoid fractures.
