Cryptorchidism in children

Cryptochidism, also known as undescended testicles or testicular insufficiency, refers to the failure of the testicles to descend from the waist and peritoneum to the scrotum in accordance with normal developmental procedures. The incidence of cryptorchidism gradually decreases during growth and development. The incidence of premature babies is about 30%, 4% in newborns, 0.66% at 1 year, and 0.3% in adults. Testicles can continue to decline after birth. But generally after 6 months, the chances of continued decline are significantly reduced.
