Acoustic impedance
It is used to understand and diagnose middle ear inflammation, eustachian tube function, and stapedius reflex. It is generally used to distinguish conductive hearing loss and mixed hearing loss. Patients with bone air conduction distance greater than 15dB can generally be proved in acoustic impedance test. . When children are equipped with hearing aids, it is best to routinely measure the acoustic impedance. Children are most prone to hearing disorders due to otitis media due to anatomical reasons.
