Infectious mononucleosis
Infectious mononucleosis is an acute self-limiting infectious disease caused by the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). Its clinical features are fever, pharyngitis, lymphadenopathy, peripheral blood lymphocytes significantly increased and abnormal lymphocytes appear. Heterotropic agglutination test is positive, and anti-EBV antibodies appear in the body after infection.
