Finger-to-nose inaccuracy

Finger-nose test: Patients are instructed to stretch their arms straight and abduct, and then touch the pointed fingertips of the examiner first, then point to the tip of their nose, and repeat the comparison with different directions, speeds, and closed eyes. In cerebellar lesions, the nose is not accurate, the movement becomes slower when approaching the tip of the nose, the distance cannot be adjusted correctly, the distance measurement is excessive (distinguishable range), or action tremor occurs. The degree of inaccuracy of the finger nose is parallel to the degree of the lesion. Spinocerebellar ataxia [English name: spinocerebellar ataxia] is a disease mainly involving dyskinesia, pathologically, degeneration of the cerebellum and its afferent and efferent pathways, and clinically based on ataxia and constitution Sound disturbance is the main feature. Many of these syndromes are hereditary; others are sporadic. Spinal cerebellar degeneration can be broadly divided into three major groups: ataxia mainly caused by spinal degeneration, cerebellar ataxia, or multiple system atrophy. There is currently no special treatment for these diseases.
