Calcaneus spur syndrome

Heel pain in the subcalcaneal area caused by pulling the plantar fascia on the periosteum, with or without spurs on the X-ray. Bone spurs are caused by the plantar fascia overdrawing the periosteum at the attachment of the calcaneus. Excessive stretching causes pain at the inner edge of the plantar fascia (Plantar Fasciitis). The lesions that cause tense fascia tension include flat feet and Achilles tendon contractures.
