Captopril nephrogram test
The Captopril kidney chart test is performed by the following principle. Captopril is a new type of antihypertensive drug. Its main function is to dilate peripheral blood vessels and reduce peripheral resistance to reduce blood pressure. However, lowering blood pressure also reduces renal arterial perfusion flow and reduces glomerular filtration rate. Nephrograms with decreased filtration rate are characterized by reduced peak excretion and delayed appearance, and slow excretion.
