Pseudomembranous enteritis
Pseudomembrane enteritis (pseudomenbraneouscolitis) is an acute mucosal necrotic inflammation that occurs mainly in the colon and is covered with a pseudomembrane. This disease is common after antibiotic treatment and is therefore an iatrogenic complication. It has been proven to be caused by a toxin of clostridiumdifficile. Serious illness can be fatal.
