Urine leucine aminotranspeptidase
Serum leucine aminotranspeptidase is widely present in various tissues of the human body and is also distributed in urine. When the kidney is severely damaged, which causes pathological changes in the renal parenchyma, leucine aminotranspeptidase in urine is significantly increased. Urine leucine aminotranspeptidase assay is helpful for clinical diagnosis of kidney or extrarenal disease.
