Salivary amylase
There are two kinds of salivary amylase AMS, α and β, which belong to glycoside chain hydrolase, and the molecular weight is 4000 ~ 50,000D. Human AMS is alpha type, mainly from the pancreas and salivary glands, and the proximal duodenum, lung, uterus, lactating breast and other organs are also secreted in small amounts. AMS plays an important role in the digestion of polysaccharide compounds in food. Due to its small molecular weight, it is easily excreted from urine.
