Qualitative test for syphilis
When the body is infected with Treponema pallidum, antibodies to Treponema pallidum are produced, including specific antibodies and non-specific antibodies (reactin). Reactin detection is a qualitative test, and specific antibody detection (Treponeema pallidum hemagglutination test) can help confirm the diagnosis of syphilis.
