Tongue nipples disappear
The dorsal filamentous nipples atrophy, the fungal nipples are present and appear prominent. In severe cases, the fungal nipples also shrink and disappear, causing the tongue nipples to disappear, the tongue mucosa epithelium becoming thin, ruddy, smooth and free of moss, also known as bald tongue. The patient felt burning pain and was sensitive to irritating food.
