Superoxide dismutase

Superoxide dismutase (SOD) is a free radical scavenger. It is widely present in various tissues of the organism, and can scavenge free radical O2 (superoxide anion radical). O2 has cytotoxicity, can cause lipid peroxidation, damage cell membranes, cause inflammation, tumors and autoimmune diseases. And may cause the body to age.
