Abdominal vein examination
Abdominal vein examination refers to the auxiliary diagnosis method of examining abdominal wall varicose veins and judging whether the abdominal wall blood flow is normal or related diseases. The abdominal wall veins are usually not exposed under normal circumstances, and are faintly seen in thinner or fair-skinned people. The elderly who are obviously thin and have loose abdominal walls can see the veins exposed to the skin, but they are straight, not tortuous, and open. If the abdominal wall vein is obvious and has varicose veins, it means that the collateral circulation has been established, which is more commonly caused by obstruction of the three major veins of the portal vein, superior vena cava, and inferior vena cava. Increasing abdominal pressure, such as ascites, huge mass in the abdominal cavity, pregnancy, etc. can also be seen in the vein.
