Descending thoracic aortic aneurysm
The most common of thoracic aortic aneurysms is descending aortic aneurysm. Most are caused by atherosclerotic lesions. Others such as trauma, bacterial infections, and arterial necrosis can also cause the formation of descending aortic aneurysms.
