Wound botulism
Wound botulism is neuromuscular poisoning caused by clostridium botulinum invading the body through a contaminated wound. The following clinical motor paralysis is the main feature: it starts with the symptoms of cerebral neuropathy, and then progresses downward, and there are symptoms of muscle paralysis such as the neck, trunk and limbs. Respiratory failure is the leading cause of death. Thoroughly clearing the wound is the key to preventing and treating this disease. The application of botulinum multivalent antitoxin after the onset can reduce the mortality of Clostridium botulinum.
