Lassa fever
Lassa fever is an acute and highly contagious international infectious disease. It is caused by the Lassa virus and is an acute infectious disease mainly transmitted by rodents. It is mainly prevalent in Nigeria, Libya, Sierra Leone, Guinea and other West African countries. It was named after the first case found in the town of Lassa in northeastern Nigeria in 1969.
