Vaginal adenopathy
Vaginal adenopathy (adenosis vaginae) refers to the structure of glandular tissues or hyperplasia of glandular tissues in the surface of the vaginal wall or cervical vagina or in the epidermal mucosa. The normal vaginal wall and cervical squamous epithelial covering generally do not have glandular tissues, and the presence of glandular tissues in the vaginal wall is considered to be a remnant of the paramedian renal tube during the embryonic period. Lesion glandular epithelium can be transformed into normal squamous epithelium, and malignant changes can also occur.
