Tibial condyle fracture
Tibial condyle fractures account for approximately 0.38% of systemic fractures. Is a more common fracture. Occurs in young adults. More men than women. Tibial condylar fractures are more common than internal condylar fractures. The tibial condyle fracture is an intra-articular fracture, and the fracture extends to the proximal articular surface of the tibia. In severe cases, meniscal and joint ligament injuries can also be combined. Therefore, fractures of the tibial condyle easily cause dysfunction of the knee joint. In order to obtain the maximum recovery function, different kinds of treatment methods should be adopted according to the severity of the injury, the type of injury, and the situation of combined injuries when dealing with such fractures.
