Pediatric acute transmyelitis

Acute transverse myelitis (ATM) refers to acute transverse myelitis with unknown cause, also known as acute myelitis (AM). The clinical features are paralysis of the limb below the lesion, loss of conduction sensation and bladder and rectal dysfunction. Thoracic spinal cord involvement is most common, and cervical involvement is rare.
