Chronic osteomyelitis in children
Chronic osteomyelitis is a bone infectious disease caused by the invasion of bone tissue by purulent bacteria. It often recurs for many years, and sometimes causes lifelong disability due to complications. Chronic osteomyelitis mostly evolves due to improper treatment or delayed diagnosis and treatment of acute blood-borne osteomyelitis, and a few are caused by open fractures and infection. The body's resistance is reduced, and the soft tissue may appear red and swollen at the lesion, or even the skin rupture, that is, an acute attack.
