Vaginal discharge cytology
Female reproductive organs consist of the vulva, vagina, uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries. These organs are covered by squamous and columnar epithelial cells. Vaginal discharge cytology is mainly used for the general screening of malignant tumors of female reproductive system. Specimens were collected by cervical smear method, posterior vaginal foramen aspiration method or cervical lumen aspiration method. Specimens were stained after smearing, and then examined under microscope.
