Orbital abscess
Orbital abscess is an inflammatory reaction. Necrotic tissue and purulent bacteria accumulate in orbital fat to form an abscess. Most abscesses are located inside the muscle cone, and a few are outside the muscle cone. Abscesses and the inflammatory response of surrounding tissues cause severe damage to the orbital and eye structures.
