Maxillary sinus malignancy

According to domestic data, statistical analysis of otolaryngology tumors shows that maxillary sinus malignant tumors account for 40.3% of nasal malignant tumors and 1.2% of systemic malignant tumors. Lewis et al. (1972) analyzed 772 cases of nasal and sinus cancers. About 30% occurred in the nasal cavity and 70% occurred in the sinuses. Among them, most occurred in the maxillary sinuses, accounting for 58%. The disease is more common in people over 50 years of age, and the male to female ratio is 2: 1.
