Malaria nephropathy
Malaria is a vector-borne disease caused by Plasmodium infection through the bite of Anopheles mosquito. Clinical features are periodic chills, fever, headache, sweating and anemia, and splenomegaly. The incidence of children is high, and most of them are epidemic in summer and autumn. Due to the establishment of anti-malarial institutions and the implementation of mass prevention and treatment in various places, the highly endemic areas in China have been basically controlled and the incidence has been significantly reduced.
