Foreign body and foreign body intestinal obstruction in children

Intestinal obstruction caused by foreign bodies in children's digestive tract is mainly blocked by fecal mass. Occasionally it is caused by swallowing foreign bodies or eating indigestible food. Children, especially young children, like to put their toys and various things in their mouths. They may mistakenly swallow foreign bodies into the digestive tract due to amusement and crying. Therefore, foreign bodies in the digestive tract are more common in adults.
